David was born in Toronto but grew up in South Korea, Germany, and the United States, before settling down in Vancouver.
He received his Master of Architecture degree from the University of Calgary in 2012 and holds a Bachelor of Industrial Design degree from the Emily Carr University of Art and Design. As part of his Master's study abroad program, he lived in Barcelona, Spain, and Melbourne, Australia, where he studied Architecture and Urban Design.
As a registered Architect, David has comprehensive professional experience in civic, educational institutions, residential, mixed use, commercial and hospitality projects in British Columbia from initial design stage to project completion.
During his undergrad, David and his team designed and built a 64-square foot prefabricated home as a way to address the challenge of homelessness. Since then, David truly believes in contributing his skills and knowledge as an Architect to serve less privileged communities.
